Week 6 of School
Today starts my sixth week in the adventure of online schooling. I decided to enroll in University of Phoenix’s Axia College program. Sometime near the end of September I should have completed my Associates in Networking. So far, things are going really well. I can’t complain; it is certainly better than sitting in a classroom with kids asking me what an IP address is – or how to turn on the computer (seriously.)
I wish their interface was a bit better though. As expected, it’s based on threaded forums. But it has a Main Forum, Chat, and then Personal. In the main forum assignments and announcements are posted. I would’ve hoped there’d be a seperate forums for just assignments and a seperate one for announcements – I like less clutter. Posting assignments are done in the personal forum, which is all right I suppose. I haven’t used the Chat yet, don’t feel like conversing with people in these introductory classes.
I would, however, deffinately recommend online schooling to those who had issues in the past. Granted, there are times I slipped up and forgot something was due the next day because I forgot to login. But I’ve had those issues in normal school, and this way I can screw up on my own time.
